Samuel David Shoob, 82, of Arlington, Virginia and formerly of Savannah, died Friday afternoon, March 14, 2014, at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Morris Shoob and the late Lena Rosenbloom Shoob. Mr. Shoob was of the Jewish faith. He attended Georgia Tech and was a retired furniture representative. Mr. Shoob was a person full of life who thoroughly enjoyed cooking and dancing. His recipe for marinara sauce was voted number one when published in Saratoga Grazing. Mr. Shoob was an avid sports fan who loved the Washington Nationals and the Washington Redskins.
Survivors include his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
