Ruth Sand of Savannah, Georgia passed away at Buckingham South on Sunday, February 28, 2016.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 20, 1919. She was the daughter of Jacob and Yetta Gordon and the loving wife of Abraham Sand of 66 years.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Sand and his wife, Sharon, of Savannah, Georgia and Bruce Sand of Phoenix, Arizona; grandmother to Matt Sand and his wife, Jennifer, Allison Konter and her husband, Mark, and Jeffrey Sand and his wife, Nadia, and the great-grandmother of Avery, Lila, Brooks and Constan.
The family wishes to thank the many employees of Buckingham South who befriended Ruth as they lovingly cared for her.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o\'clock Tuesday morning, March 1, 2016, at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the JEA Preschool Savannah or Congregation Agudath Achim.
