Rose Marie Tootle

Rose Marie Saraf Tootle died peacefully January 29, 2024. Rose was born on May 18, 1936 in Savannah, Ga. to Mary and George Saraf. She attended Sacred Heart School and St. Vincent's Academy. After graduating she married the love of her life Sam D. Tootle, Sr. They were married for 59 years. She spent her entire life giving to others and taking care of her family being a living example of unconditional love and faith in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, her grandson, Stephen D. Tootle, II, her brothers Phillip and George Saraf and sister, Phyllis Tabakian McShane.

She is survived by her children, David (Jacque), Stephen (Paula), Elizabeth (Ike), and Angela, 15 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, siblings Antoinette Kastensmidt, Mary Anne Fischer, Antoine Saraf (Beth), Iris Smith (David) and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be at St. James Catholic Church at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2024 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Internment will be at the Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to St. James Church Building Fund at 8412 Whitefield Ave. Savannah, Ga 31406.

The family wants to thank Buckingham South and Azalealand Nursing Home for the love and care they showed to our mother.
