Rosalyn 'Bootsy' Scott Williams, 86, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Charlie Williams, Sr., died Monday evening, December 2, 2019, at Memorial University Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late James Scott and the late Emma Lou Stukes Scott. Rosalyn lived most of her life in Hitch Village and was known as 'Mrs. Bootsy' to all who knew and loved her. Rosalyn loved and cherished her family; especially taking care of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and going out with her daughters.
In addition to her husband of 21 years and her mother and father, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Emily Denise 'Neese' Williams and Tammy Vanessa Williams; two brothers and her cherished friend and the father of her twin daughters, Mr. Joe Green.
Surviving are five daughters, Eleanor Williams, Dian Samuel, Carol Williams Thomas (Timothy), Yoshabell Christie (Ramon) and Survell Thomas (Kenneth); three sons, Charlie Williams, Jr., Michael Anthony Williams and Rodney Williams (Margaret); thirty-one grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Brenda Ann Campbell (Kevin).
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 o'clock Saturday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
