Ronald 'Ronnie' Reagan, 62, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Debbie Rice-Reagan, died peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021.
Born abroad in Germany as a U.S. citizen, he was a son of the late Dale W. Reagan and Erika Monteith. Ronnie lived in the Montgomery Community and made his living on the water as a commercial fisherman. He owned and operated a shrimp boat until he retired in 2013 as a two
-time cancer survivor. He was a quiet man with a strong work ethic who loved nature, loved his family and friends, and was given to few words and quiet contemplation.
Ronnie accepted what came to him in life without complaint. He often said, 'It is what it is.'
He experienced life as a man with exceptionally good looks, and he experienced life with scars and deformity after surviving cancer. His spirit grew and was strengthened by his faith.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Debbie Rice-Reagan; his mother, Erika Monteith; his sister, Dolores Barnett; two brothers, Dale Reagan and his wife Mary Sue Reagan and Thomas Blood; his mother-in-law Norma Rice, a mom to him; sister-in-law Donna Lodge and her husband Lonnie and son James; brother-in-laws Keith Rice II and his wife Summer and sons Wyatt and West and Kurt Rice and his wife Beth and sons Jake and Ricky; and his step-mother Luise Reagan in addition to well-loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Reagan, his brother, Bernard Reagan, and his father-in-law Keith Rice.
The funeral service is private in order to protect the living during the Covid Pandemic. It will be live-streamed at 10:00 on Tuesday, August 25th, on the Montgomery Presbyterian Church Facebook page and available afterwards to view.
