Robert Roy Wilkins

Robert 'Bob' Roy Wilkins, 89, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Louise West Wilkins, died Friday afternoon, February 4, 2022, at his home.



Born in Lumberton, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Roy Pope Wilkins and the late Mary Musselwhite Wilkins. Mr. Wilkins was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Mr. Wilkins finished the Lewis Hotel Training School in Washington. He was a retired owner in the hotel and hospitality industry. Mr. Wilkins was an avid coin collector and dealer and formerly owned Savannah Coins.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Mitchell Wilkins, and a sister, Eleanor Pope Wilkins West.



Survivors include his wife, Louise West Wilkins; one son, Lacy Keith Wilkins and his wife, Tami Tucker Wilkins; one brother, Ira Franklin Wilkins and his wife, Janice; nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.



The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, February 12, 2022, at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service, with military honors, will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, February 12, 2022, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend Lane Sanders. Interment will be private.
