Robert A. Tschetter, 78, was born on December 24, 1935 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to William and Mildred Tschetter (both deceased) and died on December 24, 2013.?? His early years were spent in South Dakota where he graduated from high school in 1953 and from the University of South Dakota in 1957 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science.



His wife of 55 years, Judy, and two sons Robert A. Tschetter, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Dallas, Texas and William W. Tschetter and his wife Jennifer of Orlando, Florida survive Mr. Tschetter.?? Two grandchildren, William W. Tschetter, Jr. and Ellen Fitzsimmons Tschetter also survive and reside in Orlando, Florida.?? Mr. Tschetter's brother, Richard W. Tschetter and his wife Marlene, live in Seattle, Washington.



Mr. Tschetter served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.?? Following discharge he enrolled in the Health Care Management Program at the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a Master's Degree in 1962.?? Following graduation he began his management career in the health care field at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he was employed from 1962 to 1966.?? In 1966, Bob joined the international consulting firm of Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc. in Chicago, Illinois.?? He was elected a partner in the firm in 1969 and in 1970 was appointed managing partner of the Health and Medical Division.?? In 1973, he was elected to the firm's Operating Council and served as its Chairman from 1981 to 1983.?? Bob was elected to the Booz-Allen Board of Directors and served from 1978 to 1982.?? During his consulting career he served many leading health field clients in providing strategic and organizational planning services.



Mr. Tschetter was a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Consultants, a member of the American College of Hospital Administrators and a member of the Institute of Management Consultants.?? In Chicago, Mr. Tschetter was Chairman of the Lake Forest Montessori Board, a member of the Evanston Hospital Corporation Board and a member of the Illinois Masonic Medical Center Citizen Board.?? After leaving Chicago, Mr. Tschetter lived most of the rest of his life in Savannah, Georgia.?? He served on the boards of the Telfair Museum of Art and the Historic Savannah Foundation.?? He was a member of Christ Church Episcopal at his death.



A graveside service will be held at 11 o'clock on Saturday, January 25, 2014, in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, with a reception to follow at Christ Church Episcopal on Johnson Square.
