Robert 'Bob' Warren Stark, 65, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Kathleen 'Kath' Lynn Holmes Stark, died Friday, December 5, 2014, at his residence.
Bob was born on October 4, 1949, in Floral Park, New York, to the late Warren Harry Stark and the late Muriel Korrow Stark.?? He was of the Methodist faith.?? Bob was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War.?? He continued to work for many years in a civilian capacity as a computer technician.?? Bob was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America - Chapter 671, where he served as secretary for four years.
Surviving are his wife of forty-four years, Kathleen 'Kath' Holmes Stark of Savannah; his daughters, Kristen Maynard of Savannah, Judi Gaborik of Chesapeake, Virginia, Linda Stark of Hampton, Virginia, and Sherri Sanchez of Newport News, Virginia; his son, John Stark of Savannah; his sister, Jean Ellis of Savannah, and eight grandchildren, Daniel, Jordan, Christopher, Taylor, Andrew, Nathaniel, Emerson, and Avery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend John A. Haney.?? Interment, with military honors, will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
