Robert Lee Simerly II, 50, of Savannah, Georgia, died Wednesday morning, June 1, 2016, at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, Georgia, after battling a long illness.
Lee grew up in Windsor Forest and attended Windsor Forest High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert 'Bob' Simerly and Betty Lee Simerly, and his grandparents, Dessie and Lula Lee and Oliver and Helen Simerly, all who resided in Savannah.
Survivors include his aunt, Mary Abruzzio, many cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:30 Monday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 Monday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Nathan C. Godley. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
