Robert Lovin Morris

Rincon bluegrass musician, Robert 'Bobby' Morris, was called home Tuesday morning, January 14, 2020, after his long battle against cancer. He was born near the little crossroad town of Daisy, Georgia. Growing up without a television, he and his family listened to bluegrass radio broadcasts. His favorite child hood memory was sharing the one family guitar with his three brothers, sister, and parents to sing together. His passion for music gave him a life of pleasure and loving friends.



He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a demolitionist. He was deployed to Vietnam in 1966 and awarded the Purple Heart for his service.



Bobby is survived by his daughter, Melissa Morris Sanso; his grandson, Alex Sanso, many nieces and nephews.



The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 o\'clock Saturday afternoon, January 18, 2020, at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.



A celebration of life will be announced at the later date.
