Robert Don Harris, 92, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Joyce King Harris, died Saturday morning, June 20, 2015, at his home.
Born in Lakeview, Georgia, he was a son of the late William Guy Harris, Sr. and the late Willie Florence Reasonover Harris. Mr. Harris was a member of Crosspath at East Ridge Church in Chattanooga. He was a United States Army veteran who was stationed in the Philippines during World War II. Mr. Harris worked with Pure Oil Company and later retired after 30 years of service with Koehring Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Don Reasonover Harris; one sister, Willie Doris Harris, and three brothers, William Guy Harris, Jr., Birdie Lee Harris, and Norman R. Harris.
Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Anna Joyce King Harris of Savannah, Georgia; one brother, Charles M. Harris and his wife, Betty, of Red Bank, Tennessee, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 Wednesday at Crosspath at East Ridge Church in Chattanooga.
The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday at Crosspath at East Ridge Church conducted by The Reverend Dr. Ronnie Mitchell. Interment, with military honors, will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park in Rossville, Georgia.
