Ronald Michael Adams

Born on Sunday, November 30, 1946, in Athens, GA., on a day when the University of Georgia was playing Georgia Tech in football. Georgia won, and Ronald became a life-long Georgia BullDog fan.

 Ronald moved with his family and lived in Winder, GA., Marietta, GA., Taccoa, GA., Anderson, S.C., and then Cornelia, GA. Ronald spent his formative days in those communities. In Anderson, S.C. Ronald got his first job delivering papers for the Anderson Daily Mail. While living in Anderson, Ronald was selected to join and perform with the Anderson Boys Chorus.

 In 1960, Ronald moved, with his family, to Cornelia, Ga., and remained living there until leaving home. Ronald thrived in high school [South Habersham - 1964] and was elected president of his junior class and vice-president of his senior class. Ronald was a member of the basketball team and graduated with honors.

 Ronald worked at various jobs for two years until going into the United States Marine Corps. Ronald graduated from boot camp and became a Marine. Assigned to Viet Nam, Ronald served honorably and was twice given meritorious promotion. Ronald served for 15 1/2 months in Viet Nam.

 Returning home, Ronald worked at different jobs and entered Truett-McConnell College. Ronald continued his education at Atlanta Law School earning a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws degrees. Ronald passed the State Bar of Georgia examination and began the private practice of law in 1979.

 In private practice until 1987, Ronald accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney. Ronald worked as a State prosecutor until retirement. 

 Ronald received various awards and honors and was selected by the District Attorneys Association of Georgia as the State of Georgia's Assistant District Attorney of the year in 1997.

 Ronald is now absent from the body and present with the Lord. Ronald belongs to the family of God. 

 Ronald is a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the State Bar of Georgia, and Lighthouse Baptist Church.

 Ronald is survived by his son, Eric Ronald Adams, sisters Carol Hames [Danny Hames] and Marsha Davidson, and nephew Scot Davidson and numerous cousins, in Cobb, Hall, Stephens counties, and the love of his life.
