Richard Jameson Williams, 87, of Tybee Island, Georgia, died Tuesday evening, November 6, 2012, at Candler Hospital.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Charles John Williams and the late Anna Exley Williams. Richard was of the Lutheran faith and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Philippines and World War II. He worked at Morrison's Cafeteria. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothea 'Dot' Greene Solomon and a brother, Charles John Williams, Jr.
Survivors include his brother, Harold E. Williams of Dacula, Georgia, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held at 1 o\'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside,??Laurel Grove Cemetery ' North.
