Richard Franklin Boaen, Sr., 78, of Savannah, Georgia and widower of Marie Yvonne Schuman Boaen, died Wednesday morning, August 6, 2014, at his home and under the care of Gentiva Hospice.
Born in Savannah, on November 25, 1935, he was one of eleven children born to the late Eddie Milton Boaen and the late Elizabeth Tanner Boaen.
Surviving are his children, Rick Boaen (June), Eddie Boaen (Brenda), Terri Parrish (Steve Sommer), Lee Boaen (Pam) , Lisa Sharpley (Jim), all of Savannah; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister; four brothers; a number of nieces and nephews; and close family friends, Alan Usher, Buddy and Tammie Nelson, Matt, Adessa and Baby Aubrie.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o\'clock Friday morning at the graveside, Hillcrest Abbey - East, conducted by The Reverend Meg B. Procopio and The Reverend Robert M. Bagwell.
