Richard Gary Bernstein, 59, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, died suddenly on Monday morning, October 5, 2015.
Born in West Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Hartt Eugene Bernstein, and the late Bernice Kirschner Bernstein. Mr. Bernstein was of the Jewish faith. He was a United State Air Force Veteran, having enlisted in 1974. Mr. Bernstein was disabled as a result of an accident he suffered in 2007, previously being employed in Security services and retail sales and management.
Surviving are his four daughters, Jessica Bernstein Uttley and her husband Matt of Wallburg, North Carolina, Stephanie Bernstein Newman and her husband Jacob, of Savannah, Georgia, Wendy Bernstein Baublitz and her husband Travis of Richmond Hill, Georgia, Melissa Carr Venable of Arlington, Texas and six grandchildren, Alexis Bernstein, Jacob Newman Jr., Logan Newman, David Newman, Jacqueline Baublitz, and Kenneth Carr.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock on Friday morning at the graveside, Beaufort Memorial Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina, conducted by Rabbi Robert W. Haas.
