SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Sarah Rebecca Ballard Arnold, 99, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Jack Edward "Eddie" Arnold, died Monday afternoon, September 21, 2009, at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Born in Griffin, Georgia she was a daughter of the late Jesse Stevenson Ballard and the late Lillian Passmore Ballard. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church and was a member of the Samuel T. Senter Sunday school class . She
was a past member of the Savannah Women's club and the Shriner's Lady's auxiliary. Mrs. Arnold was an avid bridge player and she was a homemaker.
Surviving is one daughter. Anne W. Edenfield and her husband, Randy, of Guyton, Georgia; one granddaughter, Jessica Tuten Daniel and her husband, Armand, of Wilmington, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Anne Daniel and Armand Turner Daniel, IV. The family would like to thank the staff at Chatham Medical Associates, with a special mention of thanks to Dr. Robert F. Brown, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the graveside, Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park - East, conducted by The Reverend Alex Tracy.
