Raymond Lee Workman, 67, of Ashburn, Georgia, and widower of Katheryn K. Dyer Workman, died Sunday evening, December 20, 2020, at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.
Born in Ohio, he was a son of the late Timothy Woodrow Workman and the late Mabel Workman. He worked as a certified automotive mechanic and could build or fix anything with a motor. Ray loved to fish, freshwater or saltwater, he loved being out on a boat. He will be remembered for his singing voice and playing guitar, as well as his skills as a woodworker. Ray was a God-fearing man with a strong work ethic, a great dad and papa to his family. He is loved and will be deeply missed by all his children.
In addition to his wife and parents, Ray was predeceased by a son, John William Lockard and grandson, Jonathan Cole Harmon.
Survivors include his children, Mary E. Garcia, Timothy 'Tim' Workman, Curt Lockard, and Dewayne Lockard; grandchildren, Rae-Anne Lovegrove, Juan Garcia, Mina Garcia, Timothy Workman, Jacquelyn Harmon, Heidi Harmon, Cayman Harmon, Jadynn Workman, Curt C. Lockard, Jr., Mariah Lockard, Miranda Lockard and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held at 11:30 Wednesday morning , December 30, 2020, in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue. Inurnment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery at 12:30.
