Raymond 'Ray' Harris Harrison, 70, of Savannah, Georgia and??husband of Barbara Waters Harrison, died Friday evening, November 2, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Newport News, Virginia, he was a son of the late Reverend Ray Harrison and the late Sybil Meadows Harrison. Mr. Harrison was an avid writer and author, having published the books 'Blood on the Orchid' and 'National Poison'. He was an avid pilot and was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association.?? Mr. Harrison was also a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Waters Harrison of Savannah; a son, Ray Harrison and his wife, Sharon Kestrel, of Denver, Colorado; five sisters, Anne Ashfeld and her husband, Ron, of Rosemount, Minnesota, Kay Davis of Grifton, North Carolina, Cherle Humphrey and her husband, Lawrence, of Universal City, Texas, Donna Newby of Kinston, North Carolina, and her husband, Keith, of Grifton, North Carolina, and Addie Duke of Kinston, North Carolina;?? two brothers, Jerry Harrison and his wife, Cheryl, of Hookerton, North Carolina, and Ronnie Harrison and his wife, Anita, of Greenville, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service??will be held at 11 o\'clock Wednesday morning at??119 West Back Street,??Savannah.
