Raymond William 'Dunnie' Ard, Jr., 47, of Savannah died Tuesday morning, May 5, 2015, at his home.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Shirley Ann Harvey Ard and the late Raymond William Ard, Sr. Dunnie was the owner and operator of Ard Roofing Company. He loved his family and friends and he also enjoyed boating and fishing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Georgianna Maybell Ard.
Surviving are his daughter, Elizabeth Breigh Ard; his son, Raymond William 'Ray' Ard III; his mother, Shirley Ann Harvey Ard; his sister, Krystal Ard; his grandson, David Carter; two nieces; one nephew, and the mother of his children, Karen Hendricks.
The family will receive friends from 9 until 11Friday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 11 Friday in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
