Ralph Stanley Hodges, also known as "Harvey", "Q Tip", or "Pug", passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Anne Tiencken Hodges and James Edward Hodges, Sr. and his brother Neal Hodges.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene Brown Hodges; siblings, George (Lisa), James "Jimmy" Jr. (Kimberly), Darcy (Makayla), and Dottie Wingett (Carlton); Uncle Bubba (Alice) and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his truck buddy Thor, for they were inseparable.
Ralph worked for Union Camp/International Paper companies for 18 years. He then went to work at Ft. Stewart Wynn Army Hospital facilities where he found his passion in serving others and helping soldiers and their families have the best possible hospital & medical facilities. He worked there for 20 years. He was a hard worker and didn't want to retire but after four back surgeries his body was more than ready.
Ralph was a loving husband to Charlene for 33 years. He was a very social and fun-loving person that enjoyed fishing, crabbing and being on the water. He was a loyal friend to everyone he knew and loved helping people. Most importantly, Ralph loved the Lord and believed that we were put on this earth to love, share, serve and bring glory to God. He will be greatly missed, but we are thankful that his pain has ended, and he is with our Heavenly father.
