Phyllis Mary Fulford Cole, 87, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and widow of the love of her life Edward Walter Cole, Sr., passed away Sunday evening, surrounded by her four loving children, December 19, 2021, at her home.
Born in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence John and Mary Maude Fulford. Phyllis was a fun loving wife, mother, grandmother (Granlyn) and friend to many. She was adorningly referred to by her friends as their English rose. Her fun spirit, wit and zest for life remained until days before her passing. She was a child of World War II and experienced the history first hand and often spoke of attending the parade of Queen Elizabeth\'s coronation.
Her intellectual abilities afforded her to be chosen to attend the prestigious Mary Datchelor School for Girls, which was a high honor. She then attended the City of London College. Playing cards was one of her most loved hobbies. After losing the love of her life her focus was on her family who she deeply loved. We all lost our biggest fan and cheerleader for life. We will all miss her deeply but are so comforted knowing she is at peace and with her loved ones in her eternal heavenly home.
Survivors include her children, Garron Edward Lawrence Cole (Amy), Edward Walter Cole, Jr. (Sandy), Rhonda A. Franco, and Stella Marie Waters (Joel); grandchildren, Victoria Marie Thomas, Deborah Garron Lawren Ewing (Justin), Erica Devon Hill (Jason), Kenneth Justin Waters (Andrea), Sarah Elizabeth Damron (Jason), Darron Cole Waters (Corri), and Chase Fulford Cole(Lauren), 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o\'clock, Thursday, December 23, 2021, at the graveside, Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by the Reverend Dr. Drew Corbett.
