MIDWAY, GEORGIA - Phillip Marvin Brigdon, Jr. of Midway, Georgia, 65, passed away on July 18, 2012 at Hospice of Savannah after a courageous battle against cancer. He passed away with his loving family by his side.
Phil was a native of Savannah, Georgia and proudly served his country in the Viet Nam War. He married the love of his life, Susan Davis Brigdon in 1978. They shared 28 wonderful years together before she passed in 2006. Phil loved his Susie-Q, listening to blues music, fishing, laughing, and riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his daughters, Merilee Cox and son-in-law Steven Cox and his three grandchildren Susanna, Aiden, and Connor; Tina Langston and son-in-law Dale Langston and his granddaughter Erika.
His easy-going spirit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his daughters, sons in law, grandchildren, his many nieces and nephews, and all of his life-long friends.
The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
Interment will be private.
