Paul Stephen Feldman, 71, of Savannah, Georgia, died on Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018, at the Maltz Hospice House, Montefiore, in Beachwood, Ohio.
Born in New York, New York, and grew up in New Rochelle, New York, he was the son of the late Helen Rosenman Feldman, and the late Arthur Feldman. Paul was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim, in Savannah. He earned his undergraduate degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Master's Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Southern California. He worked in the environmental sector beginning his career at the Port Authority of New York in Manhattan, and continuing as an environmental lobbyist for the state of Pennsylvania, as well as on the national level in Washington, D.C. Paul was the former owner and operator of B & B Paint Company, in Savannah. He is an alumnus of Camp Winnebago, Fayette, Maine, where he spent many summers of his childhood as a camper and later as a counselor. Paul was a skilled handyman who could fix anything. He enjoyed bike riding, skiing, working in his yard, watching the Los Angeles Dodgers, and traveling. Paul's greatest love was spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Nancy Vogel Feldman of Savannah, Georgia; daughter, Dr. Amanda Feldman Gorodeski and her husband, Dr. Eiran Gorodeski, of Beachwood, Ohio; son, Dr. Daniel Feldman of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Isaac Gorodeski, Maya Gorodeski and Leo Gorodeski, Nathan Feldman and Alexa Feldman; sister, Jane Fields of Wilmette, Illinois; niece, Joanna Fields of New York, New York, and great-niece, Helena Cherny.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Steven B. Henkin.
