Patsy Girardeau Nettles, 73, of Twin City and wife of C. Earl Nettles, died Saturday afternoon, February 14, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family.



Born in Statesboro, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Girardeau and the late Hattie Cleonice 'Cle' Clifton. Patsy was a Christian and was a retired bookkeeper. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Patsy's life was her family.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tiffany Janese Nesbitt; a sister, Joan Harriett Cathcart , and a brother, Thomas 'Tommy' C. Girardeau.



Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Charles Earl Nettles of Twin City; two daughters, Sheri Nesbitt Lanier and her husband, Wayne, of Savannah, and Lori Nesbitt Rambo of Twin City; one son, Roy Iverson Nesbitt, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Loveland, Colorado; one step-daughter, Chellie Nettles Beagle and her husband, Jimmy, of Savannah; two step-sons, Bobby Nettles of Athens and Craig Nettles and his wife, Betsy, of Atlanta; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Brenda G. Farmer and her husband, Jerry, of Demorest, Georgia.



The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Tuesday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.



The funeral service will be held at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by Pastor Gene Clay. Interment will be private.
