Patrick 'Pat' Phillip Kenny, Sr., 64, of Richmond Hill, Georgia and husband of Marie Daisy Dunaway Kenny, died peacefully on Thursday afternoon, May 3, 2018, at his home.
Born on April 16, 1954, in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of the late Nicholas Stanislaus Kenny, Jr. and the late Phyllis Edna Steeves Kenny. Pat was a 1972 graduate of Benedictine Military School. He retired from the Savannah Police Department after 37 years of service. Pat was a member of the Knights of Columbus 631, Immaculate Conception Assembly, the Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, and a charter member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Marie Daisy Dunaway Kenny; his son, Patrick Phillip Kenny, Jr.; his daughter, Amanda Brown; his daughter, Deidra (Dale) Childers; sisters, Mary Frances Pacifici and Florence Groover; brothers, Nicky, Michael and Joseph; his grandchildren, Kathryn and Hunter Brock and Austin and Kristin Childers, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Sunday at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue with the Rosary service being held at 7 o'clock in the funeral home chapel.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church conducted by The Reverend Brett A. Brannen. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
