Patricia Spell Howell, 68, of Savannah, Georgia and formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, and widow of Stephen Melrose Howell, died Saturday evening, December 22, 2012, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of Minnie Conway Wallace and the late Joseph A. Wallace. Mrs. Howell was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. She was an educator for over 35 years, teaching English at Redan High School, and holding a position as an administrator at Georgia Perimeter College for the last 20 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan Meredith Taylor and her husband, Stephen, of Washington, DC; her son, Stephen Michael Howell of Atlanta, Georgia; her grandson, Shepard Taylor, and her mother, Minnie Conway Wallace of Savannah, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church conducted by The Reverend Jess Reeves. The family will receive friends in Patton Hall after the service.
A graveside service will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon in Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, Georgia, conducted by The Reverend Rob Bagwell.
