Patricia Ann Cowart

Patricia Ann Rogers Cowart passed into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at age 88, after a sudden illness. Patty was born in Savannah, GA,and was a proud lifelong resident. She was preceded to Heaven by her parents, Israel and Elizabeth Rogers, brothers Donald (Brenda) and Walter, brother-in-law Bobby Wilson, and her beloved husband, Raiford Cowart. Patty is survived by her children, Steve (Paula) Cowart and Debbie (Lee) Moon , her sister, Mary Wilson, and brother, Jack (Mary) Rogers. She is also survived by her four granddaughters, Lori Moon, Erin (Matt) Dobbs, Jennifer (Andrew) Triplett, and Stephanie (Paul) Huguley, as well as by her eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Patty was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Temple and loved to worship her Lord there, as well as with many other churches through television and online media. She retired from K-mart after over 20 years of service in their business office. Patty loved people and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends. She was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. Patty loved her home and neighbors as well as her city and country. Her home was often the center of family gatherings, and her out-of-town family loved to spend time there with her.

Visitation will be on Sunday evening, April 7th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Ave.

Patricia's graveside service will be held Monday, April 8th at 12 noon in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.at 12:00 noon.
