Patricia Willean Woods Bruckner, 85, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday afternoon, January 11, 2020, at the home of her daughter, Patti, in the arms of her daughter, Sally, after a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Born June 14, 1934 at 1113 Abercorn Street, she was the daughter of the late Doy and Beatrice Kicklighter Woods. Willean was a 1953 graduate of Commercial High School and retired from AT&T after thirty years of service.
Willean enjoyed life to the fullest having never encountered a stranger. She enjoyed her family and friends and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of The Magnolias, a group of strong women who shared a friendship for forty years. Willean attended White Bluff United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eve Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Fredric William Bruckner; brothers, John, Frank, and Dennis Woods.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Patti Butler and her husband, Joey, and Sally Connelly and her husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Karli Bruckner and fianc??e, Rafael Nunez, Michael Connelly and Matthew Connelly; great-grandchildren, Fredric Nunez and Albert Nunez; devoted cousin, Celia Zadach Cobb Evans, and nephews that she adored, James Swails, Dennis, Andrew, David and Doy Woods.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 16, 2020, at White Bluff United Methodist Church ' 11911 White Bluff Road.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon, January 16, 2020, at White Bluff United Methodist Church, conducted by the Reverend Josh Duckworth and the Reverend Kenneth R. Sharpe. Interment will be private.
The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice and Vicki, Patricia and Amy for their care and service. Also, Willean's caretakers, Mrs. Myrtle Cheatham and Mrs. Rose Watts for their devotion; these ladies are angels on earth.
