Nathan Scott Dayan, 55, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Lisa Ann Binder Dayan, died Thursday evening, April 1, 2021, at his home.



Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, he was the son of Carole Barbara Haven Dayan and the late Maurice Dayan. Nathan was a member of Congregation Agudath Achim. He graduated with a Master's degree in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston. Nathan was a Fisheries Biologist for 25 years with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Nathan's hard work on several key items, which was critical to the success of several major projects, earned him the Department of the Army's Civilian Service Commendation Medal for his commitment to excellence and devotion to duty as a great credit to himself, the Savanah District of the United States Corps of Engineers, the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the United States Army.



Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Lisa Ann Binder Dayan; his mother, Carole Barbara Haven Dayan of New Orleans, Louisiana; two sisters, Esther Hendler and her husband, Marc, and Juliet Lieberman and her husband, Richard, all of New Orleans, Louisiana; one niece, Alexandra Lieberman, and four nephews, Joshua Lieberman, Miles Hendler, Sean Hendler, and Andrew Sacharin.



The funeral service will be held at 2:30 Monday afternoon, April 5, 2021, at the graveside, Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose, Louisiana.
