Muriel Clare Josephine Carnegie (ne?? Chapman), 94, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at St. Joseph\'s Hospital in Savannah. Muriel was born in Darliston, Westmoreland, Jamaica, West Indies.
Survivors include daughter Christine Handke, and her husband Juergen; daughter Joanna Ellis; son Adam Carnegie; granddaughter Alison Col??n, and her husband Hector Col??n; grandson Douglas Carnegie; and great grandchildren Naomi Col??n, Simeon Col??n, and Ezra Carnegie.
Muriel was predeceased by her husband Dr. Alfred Carnegie. She was the former Custos Rotulorum for the parish of Westmoreland in Jamaica, West Indies.
Memorial Service with ashes: Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 3101 Waters Avenue, Savannah, Georgia 31404. Interment of ashes: at a later date in 2016 in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica, West Indies.
