Michelle Lee \'Shelly\' Adkins, 47, of Savannah, Georgia, died Friday morning, August 6, 2021, at St. Joseph\'s Candler Hospital.
Born in Rock Island, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Charles \'Bud\' Adkins and the late Sharon Ann Lind Slama. Michelle was raised in Milan and Taylor Ridge, IL and graduated high school in Spartanburg, SC. Michelle attended Savannah College of Art and Design and Armstrong State University. A talented artist, Michelle enjoyed teaching others and encouraged their artistic development. Michelle also enjoyed pottery, jewelry design, and spending time with her family and friends. Michelle brought sweetness and love to all those she came in contact with and will be remembered for her silliness, hugs, love and compassion for others, and for her sweet smile and laugh.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sharon Ann Lind Slama; father, Charles \'Bud\' Adkins; sister, Candice Duval Williams; aunt, Sandra Lenz; uncle, James \'Jim\' Johnston.
Survivors include her sister, Alicia \'Ally\' Marie Slama and fianc??, Logan Ineichen; nephew, Christian Lorenzen of Bettendorf, IA; brother, Cary Joseph Hinze and wife, Lori Hinze; nephew, Keaton Hinze and niece, Kylie Hinze of Simpsonville, SC; brother-in-law, Vernon Craig Williams; nephews, Alex Williams and Max Williams of Irmo,SC; step-father, John Michael Slama of Davenport, IA; aunt, Marlene Russell of Moline, IL; uncle, Robert Johnston; aunt, Vicki Johnston, cousins, Thomas Lenz and Wendy Vandemark, and many more extended family who loved her dearly.
Michelle requested no official service, and requested that her family and friends remain positive and happy.
