Michael Eugene LaForge, 47, of Savannah, Georgia, died Sunday afternoon, March 4, 2018, at his home.
Born in Palatka, Florida, he was a son of Barbara Jean Barber Odermatt and Gerald 'Jerry' Eugene LaForge. Michael was a graduate of Venice, Florida High School and attended Savannah Technical College. He was a computer programmer for Rubbermaid Corporation. Michael enjoyed Civil War reenacting and loved bird watching and feeding wild birds.
He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Daniel 'Danny' Clark.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Barbara and Kenneth Odermatt, Jr. of Savannah, Georgia; his father and step-mother, Jerry and Madelyn LaForge of Big Rapids, Michigan; his sister, Andrea Clark of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida; his brothers, Stephen LaForge and his wife, Andrea, of Venice, Florida, and Kenneth Odermatt III and his wife, Courtney, of Savannah, Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family service will be held at a later date.
