Michael Thomas Gilliamsen

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Michael Thomas Gilliamsen, 66, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Doris Maria Rodriguez Gilliamsen, died Monday afternoon, April 9, 2012, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in New York City, he was a son of the late James Joseph Gilliamsen, Sr. and the late Eileen Conner Gilliamsen. Michael was of the Catholic faith and was a United States Army Veteran. He was a security guard for Four Star Security Company. Michael loved to fish, meeting people and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Maria Rodriguez Gilliamsen of Savannah, Georgia; one daughter, Gi Gi Gilliamsen of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; five grandchildren, John Lee Williams III, Tiffany B. Williams, Gatlin Gilliamsen, Gabriel "Jake" Gilliamsen, and Amanda Lopez; one great-grandson, Jayden Williams; two brothers, James "Jim" Gilliamsen, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Savannah, Georgia, and Robert William Gilliamsen of New York City, and his friend, Beverly B. Taylor.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Wednesday at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service. Interment, with full military honors, will be at 1 o' clock Thursday afternoon in Beaufort National Cemetery.
