Melissa Ann Winters

Melissa Ann Winters, 46, of Guyton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 27, 2023.

She was born on February 17, 1977 to Jim and Shirley Winters of Savannah, GA. She attended
Blessed Sacrament School and was 1995 a graduate of Saint Vincent’s Academy . She was employed by
Innomed Inc. Over her 12 year tenure she rose the position of corporate sales coordinator. Her greatest
passions in life were her family, friends and animals. She was selfless, putting her plans on hold when
her family needed her. She thrived off of reminiscing and telling stories of the past. Her laughter at family
gatherings will be deeply missed.

Melissa loved being outdoors, Whether at the beach or camping, she felt at home in nature. Her favorite
pastime was watching the Georgia Bulldogs with her bulldog, Waylon and boyfriend, Jim Shaw,
Melissa is survived by her children, Kyle and Carson Gay, parents Jim and Shirley Winters brother, David
Winters (Ashley): nephew Landon, Niece Averie Ann; sister Alli Avinger (Matthew), nieces Addie and
Greer. She will be sadly missed by her numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Gamble Funeral Service, 410
Stephenson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405 with Rev. L. Dale Simmons officiating.
