Mavon Fleming Eadie (Mickey) born 12-5-1930 in Chicago, IL and died on 6-6 15 in her home surrounded by her family.
Mickey was married to William Scott Eadie III on June 2, 1951 in Chicago, IL; they later moved to Shaker Heights, OH, raised their family in Madison, NJ and retired to The Landings in 1987.
Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Eadie, and her brother, James Fleming.
She is survived by her 3 children: Gregory Scott Eadie (Janet) of Canton MA, Susan Eadie, Castro Valley, CA and William Scott Eadie IV (Michele) Springfield, NJ, and by her grandchildren, Devin Ryan Eadie, Sean Patrick Eadie, Mark Eadie and Michael O'Brien.
Mavon was a volunteer all of her life, working tirelessly to raise money for charitable organizations. When she lived in Madison, NJ she was a volunteer at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Madison Community House, President of the Madison Public Library, and she was a founder of the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts Guild.
After moving to Savannah, she helped establish the Skidaway Village Library. She was active in ECW at St. Peter\'s Episcopal Church and was a member The Landings Club. Mickey traveled extensively, was well known for cracking up a whole room with her one liners, and anyone who met her felt as if they had known her all their lives.
There will be a reception immediately following the service at St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Tuesday June 9th at 11:00 am.
In Lieu of flowers you may make donations to the Village Library, Hospice Savannah or St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
