Mather Walker

Mather Walker was born on July 25, 1937 and died on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Buckingham South assisted living in Savannah, GA. He was 86 years old. Mather Walker worked as an accountant for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, DC prior to his retirement. His wife, E. Betty Walker passed on September 1, 2018. Mr. Walker was the last surviving child of Raymond Embry Walker and Mary Hilliard Walker. Preceded in death by his sister Faye McElveen, brother Charles Raymond Walker, and his fraternal twin Matthew Waymon Walker. He is survived by his son Wayne Alan Walker.

In the months before his death, Mr. Walker dreamed of walking with Betty on streets of gold to their house of gold. May all his dreams come true.
