SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Mary Helen Lorentzson, 91, of Savannah, Georgia, died Monday evening, July 13, 2009, at Tara at Thunderbolt.
Born June 25, 1918, in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Lorentz Lorentzson and the late Maude Johnson Lorentzson. She was a member of St. Michael and all Angels Episcopal Church. Miss Lorentzson graduated from Savannah High School and retired from Gulf Life Insurance Company after 28 years of service. She was a Past Matron of Laurel Chapter #51 O.E.S., was the Past High Priestess of EELA Court #143, Ladies' Oriental Shrine, and a member of the Alee Shrine Temple Auxiliary.
She is survived by one sister, Louise L. Waters of Chamblee, Georgia; two nephews, Larry Waters and his wife, Carol, of Duluth, Georgia, and David Waters and his wife, Allyn, of Villa Rica, Georgia, and one great-nephew, Jonathan Waters.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in Patton Hall at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church conducted by The Reverend William M. Brock. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery - North.
