Mary Clark Gullans

Mary Lou Clark Gullans, 88, died peacefully at her Savannah home on March 15, 2017. She loved her four children and their spouses, Steve and Stenie Gullans, Louise and Edwin Brooks II, Joan Gullans-Pluck and Garrett Pluck, and Ann and Andrew Nash and felt blessed to spend many enjoyable years with her 10 grandchildren and recently with her three great grandchildren.



Mary Lou was a devoted mother and grandmother who made everyone laugh and feel welcome in her home. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to parents of Irish ancestry and moved to New England as a teen. She attended Dean College where she was valedictorian. She and Rolf married in a double wedding ceremony with her sister Jean and her husband Bill Casey in 1951.



After a lifetime of moving to various locales, Mary Lou and Rolf settled in Savannah from Wilton, CT in 1994 and developed many wonderful friendships. Mary Lou loved golf and entertaining friends.



A memorial service will be held later this year on a date to be determined. The family is deeply grateful to Quelin Frazier for her loving support and to all of Mary Lou's friends who made her life so wonderful.
