Mary Lou Lodi Barile, 78, of Savannah, Georgia, wife of Andrew 'Andy' John Barile, died Thursday morning, December 17, 2020, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Bronx, New York, she was a daughter of the late George Lodi and the late Mary Lodi.
Mary Lou graduated from St. Catherine's Academy and Catherine Gibbs' School of Business in New York City. She will be remembered for the love of her children, traveling, tennis, dogs, or throwing fabulous cocktail parties. Wherever she lived, she was known as the 'social butterfly.'
Her athletic prowess made her captain of the tennis league while residing in San Diego, CA. Her happiest memories were spent with her family in Jupiter, FL. For Mary Lou, any holiday was an opportunity for adventure; her most famous phrase was 'Have bags, will travel.' She will always be remembered for her warm smile, candid laughter, and outgoing nature.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, GA, where the staff worked tirelessly to ensure her comfort, or to your local animal shelter in remembrance of her love of pets.
Survivors include her husband, Andy; children, Cristina and Andrew, and a brother, George.
