SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Martha Davis Von Waldner, 79, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of William Von Waldner, died Saturday evening, March 6, 2010, at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Born in Macon, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Willie Frank "W.F." Davis, Sr. and the late Thelma Nadine DeBorde Davis. Mrs. Von Waldner was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sally Anne Von Waldner Williams; two sons, John Davis Von Waldner and Patrick Anthony Von Waldner, and one brother, W. F. Davis, Jr.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy Melinda Sapp and her husband, Kary, and Nancy Smith and her husband, Artie, all of Savannah, Georgia; two sons, William "Bill" F. Von Waldner and his wife, Connie, of Brooklet, Georgia, and James Michael Von Waldner of Savannah, Georgia; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Monday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. James Catholic Church conducted by The Reverend Mark J. Ross. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
