Martha Grunin Gincel, 94, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Hymie Gincel, died Wednesday afternoon, April 8, 2015, at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family and under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice.
Survived by her sister, Bertha Grunin Lamhut; her brother- in-law, Morris Lamhut, both of Savannah, Georgia; her daughter, Minnie Katz and son in-law, Martin Katz, both of Staten Island, NY; one grandson, Allen Katz and granddaughter in-law, Barbara Katz, both of Long Island, NY; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Cole Katz and Sean Franklin Katz, both of Long Island, NY; two nieces, Faye Brill of Silver Spring, MD, Sherry Spevack of Sumter SC and a nephew-in-law, Michael Spevack, also of Sumter, SC; one nephew, Lester Lamhut of Savannah, GA; two great-nephews, Mark Brill of Silver Spring, MD and Louis Spevack, both of Charleston, SC; one great-niece, Janine Kaiser of Charleston, SC and great-nephew in-law, Michael Kaiser, both of Charleston, SC, and one great-great-niece, Nali Yah E. Kaiser of Charleston, SC.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
