Marshall Douglas Wilson, 53, of Port Wentworth, Georgia and widower of Kris Wilson, died Tuesday evening at his home and under the care of Gentiva Hospice.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Melvin Douglas Wilson and Joanne Shuman Wilson. Marshall was of the Methodist faith and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a former owner and operator of Just Whistle. Marshall enjoyed nature, bird watching, his BB gun, and playing with his dog, Ruffy. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Nathan Callaway.
Surviving are his daughter, Amanda Wilson; two grandchildren, Mattilynn Lee Callaway and Marshall Lehman Callaway; his mother and father; his brother, Joseph D. Wilson and his wife, Taylor; one niece, Jessica Wilson, and one nephew, Collin Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Tom Edwards and The Reverend Robert R. M. Bagwell. Interment will be private.
