Marlon Scott Green, 57, of Savannah, Georgia and husband of Ann Wertz Green, died Saturday morning, June 2, 2012, at Memorial University Medical Center.



Born in Copper Hill, Tennessee, he was a son of Ora Richie Green and the late Carter Green. Marlon served his country in the United States Army and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He worked at Hobart, Quality Machine and was retired from Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation as a CNC Operator. Marlon was owner operator of MG Lock and Key and was a member of the American Locksmith Association. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, The Reverend L. Allan Wertz, Jr.



Surviving are his wife of thirty years, Ann Wertz Green of Savannah, Georgia; his mother, Ora Richie Green of Blue Ridge, Georgia; two sisters, Sonja Pulliam and her husband, Michael, and Angie Byers and her husband, Tony, all of Dalton, Georgia; two brothers, Vernon Green and his wife, Sheila, of Thomaston, Georgia and Shannon Green and his wife, Rhonda, of Coco Beach, Florida; his mother-in-law, Phyllis L. Wertz of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters in-law, Cathy Shearouse and her husband, Troy, of Bluffton, South Carolina and Libby Boyden and her husband, Bob, of Savannah, Georgia; four nieces, Sarah Byers, Ansley Shearouse, Brittany Boyden and Megan Boyden; five nephews, Jeremy Green, Chris Green and his wife, Courtney,?? Daniel Byers and his wife, Tiffany, Zachary Green and Logan Green; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and their dog, Abby.



The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o\'clock Monday evening at Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue, Savannah.



The funeral service will be held at 10 o\'clock Tuesday morning at Messiah Lutheran Church conducted by The Reverend Edward W. Myers, The Reverend John E. Wertz and The Reverend John E. Wertz, Jr. Interment will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
