SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Marlene Charlotte Hirstreet Prince, 66, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Leonard Harold Prince, died Thursday afternoon, June 21, 2012, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late David Hirstreet and the late Helen Fyier Hirstreet. Mrs. Prince was a member of Congregation Bnai Brith Jacob. She and Mr. Prince were married for 47 years. Mrs. Prince was a travel agent for more than 20 years. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and enjoyed reading and traveling.
Surviving are one daughter, Kimberly Harder and her husband, Bryan, of Savannah, Georgia; one son, Steven B. Prince and his wife, Ann, of Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Jayce Harder, Shelden Harder, Kyle Prince and Nathan Prince; one sister, Sandra Freifeld and her husband, Stefan, of St. Petersburg, Florida and one brother, Bruce Hirstreet and his wife, Debbie, of Ocean Springs, Florida. She and her family considered the staff at Four Seasons Travel as her second family.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
