Marilyn A. Seeman, 93, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2018, in Savannah. She was born June 10, 1925, in Savannah, Georgia to Benjamin and Yetta Arkin. Mrs. Seeman was a 1943 graduate of Savannah High School, and married Harold Seeman in Savannah on December 5, 1943. She was very involved in the Savannah Jewish Community through her many volunteer endeavors. Mrs. Seeman had a genuine love for the Jewish Educational Alliance and participated on many boards throughout her life. She loved to read, play mahjong, bake, and was famous for 'Aunt Marilyn's Mandel Bread. Mrs. Seeman lived life to the fullest and always enjoyed being surrounded by her large extended family and friends.



In addition to her husband of 54 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Walter Arkin, and a sister, Claudia Arkin Kantsiper.



She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Surviving are her three children, Barbara (David) Gottlieb of Atlanta, Irvin (Linda) Seeman of Richmond, and Sharon (Bill) Sand of Savannah; six grandchildren, Michelle (Jeremy) Regenbogen of San Francisco, Leslie (Jonathan) Jolles of Atlanta, Ben Seeman of Richmond, Paul (Kelly) Seeman of Chicago, Matt (Jennifer) Sand of Atlanta, and Allison (Mark) Konter of Savannah; eleven great-grandchildren, Sofia, Lily, Olivia, Ashton, Abby, Sadie, Judd, Avery, Lila, Brooks and Reed; her brother, Dr. Murray Arkin of Savannah, and nieces and nephews.



A special thank you to mom's 50 year relationship with her friend and caregiver, Mary Ann Williams. And we would also like to thank Adrian Jones for the special relationship she developed with mom in the last 3 years. We are fortunate to have both of them in our lives.



The funeral service will be held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at the graveside, Bonaventure Cemetery, conducted by Rabbi Avigdor Slatus.
