Margaret Owens Wallace

SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - Margaret Owens Wallace, 95, of Savannah, Georgia, widow of Clarence Wilburn Wallace, died Sunday afternoon, March 14, 2010, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Augusta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Augustus Owens, Sr. and the late Eleanor Young Owens. Mrs. Wallace was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and worked for the United States Corps of Engineers for twenty five years. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wallace was predeceased in death by her siblings, Eleanor Adams, Gussie Thayer, Sara Rushing, Theodore Owens and W. A. Owens.
Surviving are one daughter, Sara Wallace Rudd and her husband, Charles, of Savannah, Georgia; one granddaughter, Aubrey Rudd Hill and her husband, Gibson, of Savannah, Georgia; one great grandson, Wallis Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend J. Michael Culbreth. Interment will be in Bonaventure Cemetery.
