Margaret C. Turner, 89, of Savannah and widow of Hubert 'Bert' Francis Turner, Jr., died Thursday evening, August 4, 2016, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, she was a daughter of the late Duncan McArthur Barr and the late Margaret Halket Barr. Margaret was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was always proud of her Scottish heritage.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hubert F. Turner, Jr. and her sister, Mary.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest D. Sims and his wife, Leslie, and Paul H. Sims and his wife, Martha; three grandsons, Ernest Sims, Ralph Sims and Ethan Sims; four great- grandsons, Ernie Sims, Alec Sims, Andrew Sims and Ashton Sims; her brother, Duncan Barr; nephews, Tom and Scott Forbes; nieces, Ann and Margaret, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at the mausoleum, Forest Lawn memory Gardens.
