Margaret Mary Cornn, 87, of Savannah, Georgia and widow of Joseph Elmo Cornn, U. S. Navy (Ret.), died Sunday morning, July 28, 2013, at Hospice Savannah.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late James Michael Burns and the late Alice Gertrude Clark Burns. Mrs. Cornn was a communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. She was a United States Navy veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. Mrs. Cornn was a homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed painting and puzzles.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane E. Brown and her life partner, Gregory S. Woods, and her granddaughter, Christiana Brown, all of Savannah.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Tuesday evening at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church conducted by The Reverend Gabriel Cummings and The Reverend Eric Filmer. Interment, with military honors, will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
