Marcia M. Hagan, 73, died May 7, 2022, after a 6-year battle with Alzheimer's at Pleasant View Nursing Center in Metter, Georgia.
Marcia is predeceased by her parents, Milton and Helen Hagan and brothers Gerald, Richard, and Gregory Hagan.
She is survived by her siblings Camille Owens, Earl Hagan (Beth Barrow), Ross Hagan, Jeff Hagan (Heather Shelton) Mary Ellen Sullivan (John Sullivan) and Sisters-in-law Anne Hagan and Susan Hagan.
Marcia graduated from Savannah High School in 1967 and attended Armstrong State College. Her professional career was spent as a legal secretary for law firms in Savannah and Atlanta. Her last position was as the Deputy Clerk at the U.S. District Court's Magistrate's office in Savannah. Marcia had a fine intellect and made friends easily. She was known for her infectious laugh and friendly manner.?? She was a true animal lover and was always rescuing the unwanted, neediest, and most hardscrabble mutts that seemed to find her.
We recognize and thank the great staff at Pleasant View Nursing Center where Marcia spent the last six years of her life. Her family is so grateful for their kind and loving care.
There will be a visitation Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Gamble Funeral Service ' 410 Stephenson Avenue.
The graveside service will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the Catholic Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. to be conducted by the Reverend J. Gerard Schreck.
