Marcia Jeanne Barefield, 49, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday, October 22, 2016, at her home.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late William James Harty and the late Marie Summerlin Harty. Marcia was of the Catholic faith. She was a free spirit who thoroughly loved her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mariah Martin, and one brother, Brian F. Harty.
Surviving are two daughters, Catherine 'Catie' M. Neverson and her husband, Bradley, and Marie Elizabeth Griffin, all of Savannah, Georgia; two granddaughters, Brooklyn Riah Neverson and Braelyn Rose Neverson; her fianc??e, Langdon S. Griffin of Savannah; two sisters, Joan Hill Edge and her husband, Randall, of Pooler and Jennifer F. McFarlin of Massachusetts; one brother, William J. 'Billy' Harty, Jr. of Savannah, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service - 410 Stephenson Avenue conducted by The Reverend Patrick S. O'Brien. Interment will be private.
